Four Days of Powerful Talks

同步輻射光源為本世紀革命性新光源，利用同步輻射光源相關實驗技術為科研領域中不可或缺的研究方法，可應用於跨領域前沿科學研究。台灣光子源為世界上最亮之光源，實驗站已陸續建造完成並開放提供各領域科學家進行尖端科學研究。為了推動台灣光子源相關研究，淡江大學與國家同步輻射研究中心將於2017年8月10-13日合辦”第八屆X光科學暑期學校”，延續前七屆X光科學暑期學校之宗旨，推動國內此相關研究領域，培養國內年輕研究人才及研發能量，本屆課程將深入淺出的介紹相關材料科學研究的最新進展及同步技術應用，除了X光激發螢光能譜/X光吸收譜、共振非彈性散射/X光放射譜、繞射/散射、影像光譜學等四大主題外，也包含了台灣光子源第一期光束線相關技術及應用之介紹。希望藉由此暑期學校建立各教研人士、年輕學者及青年學生之交流平台，交換研究心得，分享科學知識，促進各研究群的合作

Synchrotron light is the revolutionary new light source in this century. Synchrotron-based techniques are very powerful tools that can be that can be applied to various frontier scientific research. Taiwan Photon Source (TPS) is the world's brightest light source. The phase-I beamlines are available to users since 2016 and assist worldwide experts to carry out cutting-edge scientific research. In order to promote the TPS, Tamkang University and the National Synchrotron Radiation Research Center (NSRRC) will jointly organize the "The 8th X-ray Summer School on X-ray Sciences" from August 10 to 13, 2017.

The summer school will focus on four main topics: XEOL/XAS, in stiu XES/RIXS, Diffraction/Scattering, and STXM/Ptychography. In addition to the basic lectures of X-ray science, TPS new beamlines such as nano diffraction, coherent, nano probe will also be introduced. This summer school will provide a good platform for scientists, young scholars and students to exchange scientific ideas, share knowledge and advance the cooperation from interdisciplinary research fields.
